Reunited at last!
Avery was able to come home today and meet her little brother. We are so thrilled to have our little girl home! She isn't quite 100% but she is making a comeback. Avery held Dylan for a minute and peeked at him a few times. For the most part, she wasn't extremely into him but she was a little curious. We shall keep you posted how the adjustment goes. We are just so glad to have our two babies home! Trevor and I feel very blessed!
Dylan's First Day Home
We had a wonderful first day at home with Dylan. He was spoiled silly by his Grammy and Grampa Atkinson. We all held him and loved on him the entire day. Grammy gave Dylan his first bath. Of course, he screamed through most of it but was so clean and adorable afterward. In time he will learn to love those chilly things. He slept most of the day and Trevor and I paid for that during the night. We were up pretty much all night long. He is a night owl right now. Hopefully we can transition him to be awake during the day. Any ideas????

Home Sweet Home!
The Delivery Drama
Monday morning...Avery wakes up with a fever and cough.
Tiara takes her to the dr. She has a virus and is sent home.
Tuesday and Wednesday Avery's fever lingers and Tiara is worried about her.
Wednesday afternoon Bampa picks up Avery and Tiara is a mess because she is so sick.
Thursday still fever and can't come to hospital to see her little brother.
Thursday afternoon... we tell post delivery nurse about Avery's virus. She thinks it might be the flu. Tiara, Trevor, and Dylan are quarantined. No visitors allowed to come see us, put in a our own wing of Northside, everyone must wear masks. No fun! But we have to be healthy.
Friday...Grammy and Grampa Atkinson are allowed to visit in the hospital. Our only guests.
Saturday, we are released from the hospital. We are all on Tamiflu and Avery's fever has finally broken. She needs to be fever free for 24 hours before she can come home to us. We can't wait to see her, hug her, and introduce her to her brand new baby brother!
Meanwhile...Tally and Truss haven't gotten to see Ammy and Bampa because they too have been exposed. Ammy is still waiting to meet Dylan, and the saga continues. We are going to see if they can get some Tamiflu so that they can love on their sweet new grandboys!
THANK YOU!!!! Thanks Mom and Dad for giving our baby girl TLC!!! It was so hard to leave her sick. Knowing she was in your care was the only way we could do it. Thanks for not only taking such good care of her and nursing her back to healthy but we know how hard it is to not see these babies. I just hope one day we will look back and laugh at this drama!
Prayers for good health for all!
I almost forgot to tell you about Dylan's enterance into the world. We checked into the hospital at 5:15. Started the potocin at 7:30 or 8. Epideral given at 10:00. Water was broken at 12:00. Felt the urge to push around 3:00. Doctor got all set for delivery and Dylan did all the work. He was born at 3:19 and I had to push once. It was amazing and I even was able to watch the whole thing! A true miracle!!! Great job Dylan!!! We love you SO much!

The Countdown Is On!
Baby Dylan is on the calendar! Last week at my doctors appointment they told me I was 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced. With this good news, I didn't even have to beg for a birthdate. The doctor told me I could pick Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday of next week to be induced. I selected Thursday because the same woman that delivered Avery is scheduled to be delivering. I am so excited and finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We had a rather dull but productive weekend as our last of a family of three! I still can't believe it!
A few pictures of Avery on our bunny hunt. We brought a bag of carrots to leave them a snack. It was pretty cold out so they must have been hiding. We did throw some rocks in the stream and play in the sand too. The cool fresh air was a nice change from the icky rain we have grown accustomed to.

Berry Patch Farms
Well, with Baby Atkinson number two on the way shortly we are trying to pack the weekends full of fun. This morning we woke up, checked the weather, and decided to take a trip to the pumpkin patch. This was our third year at Berry Patch Farms and each year gets better. Avery enjoyed the animals, playground, snacks, and pumpkins. It was overcast and cool which made the day much more enjoyable for me. Carrying around this extra weight I seem to heat right up. After a look at all of the pictures you will see that Avery had another fabulous morning. We are off to nap and then go to a school picnic this afternoon. What a busy girl!

The Baseball Birthday Party
Today Avery had her third birthday party in three weeks. She is beginning to think she should have one every weekend. We had a lot of fun. They had a bounce house, face painting, sports activities, pizza, and cake! It was a baseball theme and so Avery got to wear her Ortiz jersey! Perfect for the occasion! Now if she could just bring the Red Sox a little luck. I think it is a little late for my Tigers today :( Happy weekend!
