What a night! The Trussell Family plus Chris Parker! A yummy beef tenderloin dinner, gifts, and family! So much to be thankful for. I can hardly imagine next year with a new baby niece!
The best chef! Me and the babes! Love them all, and Truss wanted me for a little while :) A picture of the house Riendeer Food!
With the Posener Ladies of course! We were able to see a live nativity and here the storytelling of the birth of Baby Jesus. It was an interactive service designed for toddlers. So much fun, and the perfect way to kick off the holiday!
Well with no babysitter to watch the kids, I am sad to report that I haven't done much shopping. It is just too much to take them both and expect to really be able to concentrate on the task of shopping. However, I have done some on line ordering and lots of baking. We have made a couple batches of cookies (from scratch) along with our gingerbread house. We bake while Dylan naps which hasn't been very often but we love it. Once Dylan wakes it is the cookie monster we deal with. The boy LOVES cookies. I have to hide them because if he knows where they are he WILL NOT stop whining until he has one in his hands. Then, he makes the biggest mess possible with even the smallest crumb. We are all enjoying it though! We also opened some presents early. Grammy and Grampa sent a package and gave me the green light for early opening. They both knew just what to do, rip open the wrapping and play with the gift. Thanks for the sweet package and great gifts. Can't wait to celebrate with you in Arizona!
The early gifts :)
The cookies
Of course we leave a little time to socialize and play :)
Two cars, eight adults, and three kids loaded up to tour Lake Lanier's light show. It was a fun family night for sure! We saw the lights, listened to Christmas music, did the petting zoo, roasted marshmallows, and attempted to see Santa. My vote is next year we take an RV so we can enjoy it all together. However, it was tons of fun! Bring on the holiday cheer.
Avery is our four year old that thinks she will be fourteen next week. She is full of life and energy. She is constantly making us laugh and showing us life through her eyes. She is strong willed, smart, and sweet. We love watching her grow. She is a fantastic big sister. Recently, Avery has started playing very nicely with her brother. We love our little girl!
Our Son
Dylan is our easy going, happy little boy! He is almost two and has completed our family. He is just so sweet! At the moment he is quickly becoming a toddler. Sleeping in a big boy bed, trying to potty train himself, using new words, and running and jumping everywhere! I didn't think it was possible to have a child more active than Avery, but I am beginning to wonder. Dylan is our sweetheart! We love you Dylan!
Eight years ago Trevor and I bumped into one another. It is a very romantic story as our first meeting was at the Dark Horse Tavern. Who would have guessed? We married in 2005 and have been very blessed.
Avery was born May 30, 2007. Since her arrival our lives have never been the same. She is the most precious thing! Avery keeps us on our toes. Always on the move and full of energy.
On October 22, 2009 our little boy Dylan Bruce was born. He looks just like his Daddy and is the sweetest baby! We are enjoying every moment with him.
I am so fortunate to be able to stay home and take care of these two cuties. Being a Mom is by far the most difficult job I have ever had. However, it is an absolute joy and I wouldn't rather be doing anything else!
Life is changing at our house and it is so much fun!
