Big time bragging
Okay, so I need that Mom moment.... I am so proud of my kids I could burst!
This week we had Avery's school conference. It was so fun to see how much she has grown this year. Physically, emotionally, and academically she has just taken leaps and bounds. She loves art. Anything that involves paper, crayons, paint, glue...she could spend hours creating. She can write her name, identify letters and numbers, and is very social. Of course, her teachers gave us a list of things to work on this summer, but I was tearing up just thinking about how much she has grown this year. Trevor and I couldn't be prouder of our little girl. We are so fortunate she has such a caring and safe environment outside of our home to flourish.
Then, there is my little blue eyed boy. He is a handful. He would rather grunt, point, or lead you to what his little heart desires but lately he has been trying to use his words. When I tell him to look at me and use his words, he tries! Last night, we were singing, I asked him if we should sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider, he looked at me and said "no" still one of his favorite words. Then, I asked him what he wanted to sing and he said "row row boat" I about fell over! He was communicating with me and had an opinion! My heart about burst! He also calls me whenever he wakes up from his crib and when I walk in his room says, "hi!" And, my favorite... when I say "whose Mommy's boy?" He answers with a yell, "ME!" I could eat him up!
Lately, I just see time flying and can't say enough how lucky I am to be home with these little darlings! I am so grateful that my husband values this time as much as I do and am grateful of his hard work that allows me to be home right now. Thank you Trevor! I love our little family to pieces!

Easter Sunday
We had a wonderful time celebrating Easter! Dylan woke up fever free Sunday morning which was a gift in itself. The kids enjoyed their Easter baskets and are still enjoying way too much candy.
We went to Ammy and Bamp's Sunday afternoon for another egg hunt and basket hunt. The cousins all really had it down and found everything happily. Avery even found a few other baskets :)
We also got to celebrate Bampa's birthday!!! Avery was thrilled to help decorate the cake and sing "Happy Birthday!" Dylan and Truss couldn't wait to get their tiny fingers in the frosting. Happy Bithday Dad!

Cousins
Friday Auntie Tally took on the daunting task of watching 4 little ones under the age of 3. She survived and "says" it was fun! I know my kids had a blast. Ammy even popped over for a surprise visit. I snuck away and got pampered by Aunit Tricia. A cut, color, wax, and chair massage, it was an amazing two hours! Thanks sisters!

The third egg hunt
The second egg hunt was a school and I wasn't there to take pictures. However, I did get some adorable pictures from our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. The only major disappointment was that Dylan was home sick with a fever...the timing! Poor baby! Avery and I had fun and it is such a great tradition and run so smoothly! Now hoping our boy will feel better and we can celebrate again tomorrow!

Easter Egg Hunt Numero Uno
What a special time we had at our first Easter Egg Hunt of the holiday. Dylan and I missed the egg hunt but Avery collected enough eggs for an army! We also got to paint birdhouses and indulge in tasty treats! What fun!
Christ has come, Christ has risen, Christ will come again!
Happy Easter! We have enjoyed celebrating all week!
A Zoorific Day with the Posener's
Gorgeous weather and good company made our field trip to the zoo the perfect way to spend the morning! The kids were so glad to go on the adventure together, and I always enjoy "mom" time with Carrie Beth.
Dylan's future prom date is already telling him how to behave :)
Good behavior meant a good treat on the way out!

Vacation!
We were able to skip town and get a little vacation for a few days at Grammy and Grampa's. As always, it was a fantastic time. Grammy and Grampa spoiled us silly and we were able to get some great family time and lots of play time.
The kids enjoyed playing outside. Avery finally learned how to pedal a bike! We are thrilled! They LOVED driving the golf cart around the neighborhood, and of course no trip would be complete without a fort!
Avery could not wait to get to the beach! She begged almost hourly until we were able to go there. The first time Trevor and I took her while Dylan stayed home with Grammy and Grampa. She couldn't get enough of it! She jumped and splashed and played. And when she heard the song of the ice cream truck she just about did a back flip. She had ice cream and no trip to the beach is complete with out building a sandcastle, and so we did. The next day we all went to the beach and had a blast. Dylan didn't love the water but wanted to chase the seagulls. He also liked the hard sand, the soft mushy stuff was a little much for him. The ice cream truck came by the next day too, so we indulged again!
The pool was also a smashing hit. After about 3 minutes Avery remembered how to swim and was a little fish. She even swam from one end of the pool to the other all by herself. She had the whole pool cheering for her as she won her invisible medal. Dylan wasn't so sure of the water at first but then he wanted to do what his big sister was doing. He jumped in and didn't want any help. That is a slight problem since he hasn't had a swim lesson yet. But he will, next month and I am hoping he will be on his way!
Saturday night we went to the Hibachi Steakhouse and had a fantastic dinner. The kids were huge fans. Our night didn't stop there because there was live music at the club. We all had a ton of fun singing and dancing!
Thank you Grammy and Grampa! I know or traveling circus gets louder and crazier everyday, but you are so accommodating, helpful, and loving. We LOVE getting to see you and can't wait until June! Thanks for a wonderful getaway! WE LOVE YOU!

Groupons and Getting Glammed up for Grammy and Grampa's
So we have been buying and using so many GROUPON's. I think we are their biggest fans! This weekend we ate dinner on a groupon, treated ourselves to smoothies, and even went shopping at Barnes and Nobles with other great groupon bargains. Trevor is addicted and I always love a good deal! Our most recent and exciting groupon was one for Music Class. The kids and I are all registered for the summer session and can't wait!
Our Spa Kidz Groupon was due to expire this week so off we went to get Avery's nails all done up for our beach trip! She went in with tears not wanting to get anything done and when we left I was practically dragging her out! I think she is going to be asking to go back real soon! What a diva, I wish I was getting a manicure with her :) Next time, maybe!
We are off to Grammy and Grampa's house tomorrow and couldn't be more excited! Chow!
