Amelia's Four

We are back in town and right back into the birthday party groove. We were able to celebrate Amelia's fourth birthday today. Avery loved every second. The theme was princesses and pirates. Of course, Avery dressed as Cinderella. The second we walked through the door she was thrilled because Cinderella was also there. (on a side note Avery watched Cinderella about 20 times while we were in Arizona. LA had the tape and Avery LOVED the movie!) Avery hung on her every word and even adored the pirate. She got her face painted and when it was time to eat pizza she didn't go eat because she wanted to continue talking with her favorite princess. She asked what Gus and Jaq were doing. Cinderella told her they were baking cookies back at the castle. She also told Cinderella that she didn't like her mean stepmother. After pizza and the most delicious pink castle cake she took a swing at a pinata. She was mesmerized by the pinata and the candy that finally fell out of it. I think she will be talking about this party for a while. Happy Birthday Amelia!

Arizona 2010

Sunday morning Daddy drove the kids and me to Hartsfield. There we met Grammy, Grampa, and Ladybug. We all boarded a 737 bound for Arizona. Grammy and Grampa sat a row in front of us crazy's. Four hours later we arrived. Everyone was fantastic! Trevor arrived mid-week and we were able to play with him in between work meetings.

We then spent the week swimming, playing, eating, and napping. It was a fabulous week with Aunt Lyn-Ann. We even made a quick stop by her work! We all had a blast. There was never a dull moment. We even took Avery to Peter Pipers Pizza (a Chuckie Cheese equivalent) and then stopped for DQ on the way home. We quickly adjusted to the 3 hour time change. Frequent power naps made that very easy. Grammy even watched the kiddos one night so that the rest of us could catch a Diamondback/Yankee ballgame.

We are home and hoping we all adjust back to Georgia time soon, maybe tonight?!?!?!

A huge THANK YOU to Aunt Lyn-Ann for letting us dominate your house for the week. I know we are a handful but we so appreciate you taking such great care of us! We will be back and can't wait!!!!

PS~Uncle Scott, we loved the slip and slide. Thanks!

On the plane just after take off!

Pooped out after a wonderful week! She never stops, so we were shocked to see her sleep on the plane!

Cousin's Overnight

What a riot! Aunt Tally came over this afternoon with Truss. We played, laughed, and took a dip in the pool. After our afternoon nap everyone got clean in the tub. They had a blast! Tally bravely offered to watch all the kids while Trevor and I went to a neighborhood gathering at our clubhouse. Of course, Dylan took a cat nap and woke up, making things a little difficult and Avery was sad to go to sleep. Trevor and I headed home and put the little ones to bed. We did some talking and all turned in by 10. It was a wonderful day. It was also really nice to wake up and have Tally and Truss here for breakfast. I sure hope we can do these overnights more often. Thank you Tally and Truss! We love you!!!!!

Rub a dub dub, three kids in the tub!

Bath time for the boys!

They are on the move, watch out!!

Tea Parties and Trains

Now this is better. I am beginning to think Avery and I are a little bit of what you might call "home bodies". The past two days we have loved lounging around in our PJ's until lunchtime.

Avery calls them lazy days and we just in her words, "play all day!" We have spent hours and hours in the playroom using our imagination, playing with dolls, stuffed animals, and singing and dancing. Then, I got out the tea set she got a few years ago. We found a table cloth and set the table with napkins and centerpieces. Avery is glowing! She loves nothing more at this second than to play tea party! In her words, "Mom this is Purrrrfect!"

Now, Dylan he is enjoying these days at home as well. He is working on getting around. He is scooting, playing with new toys, being a guest at our tea parties, and best of all not getting dragged around from one place to another. He is one happy little fellow!

I am really enjoying the pace we are setting this week, this is what summer is all about. Now to get packing for our trip out West. We are heading to Arizona to visit with Aunt Lyn-Ann and are very excited about our trip! Family, sunshine, and fun, perfect!

What a blur!

This week flew by! I don't know if I sat down at all! Lesson learned, do not overbook summer!

Our agenda was summer camp 9-12. Swim lessons everyday at 5. Ballet Friday. Dinner with the Posener's Wed, Thursday a lunch date with Grammy, Aunt Tally, and Truss, and Friday a surprise trip to the dr to check Dylan's ears. Combine that with a traveling husband, a tired 3 year old, and a fussy 7 month old and you will need a vacation.

Before summer camp modeling her new Ariel dress

Grammy and Grampa with the big boy!

I forgot we made a stop at the bakery for dessert.

Dylan loved trying out his new banana teether!

Thankfully, the kids were fantastic even though we barely caught a nap all week. Avery loves her swim lessons and is swimming. Dylan is a champ and just has a cold. I am looking ahead to a calmer week next week where we won't be doing quite so much.

I almost forgot...we celebrated Trevor's birthday this week (kind of). I am looking forward to a date night tomorrow where we can eat our meal and talk while sitting and taking our time. Happy Birthday Trevor!

Splish Splash the Birthday Bash

was a success! Avery and her best friend Handley had a wonderful 3rd birthday party.

Auntie Tess came from California to help us celebrate! We loved having her!

And, Grammy and Grampa didn't miss the big party either. We loved getting to spend some time with them. And Grammy sorry about this picture but I love it and Avery just loved you wearing the crown!

Summer Lessons

June is off and running and we are trying to keep a good pace.

Tuesday, Avery started swim lesson boot camp. She will have a 30 minute private lesson everyday for the next two weeks. After one week she has made great strides. She can swim about 5 feet and grab the edge of the pool. She is working on pulling herself out. She is doing well going underwater and working on floating. It is very exciting. Thirty minutes seems like a long time for Avery and she does constantly ask if she is done, but she is hanging in there and learning.

Friday, was the beginning of our 10 week ballet session. Avery was thrilled to get all dressed in her ballerina outfit today and even more excited as we entered the studio. She is taking a class with 3 of her closest friends which makes it even more fun. I was so impressed by the way they all listened and followed instruction. I also couldn't get enough of her big girl self in her adorable outfit.

And, my buddy Dylan. He just tags along and does it with a smile. I can't imagine what life is going to be like next summer when I will be trying to keep up with classes for two!

Little Boy Reunion

Finally we were able to catch up with the Mayer's and Parro's. This meant the soon to be 1 yr old, 11 month old, and 7 month old were all able to play. Tre and Cooper were on the move. It won't be long until Dylan will be right there with them. And Avery, I am sure she will be the ringleader before long. It was great to catch up! Tre will be one on Saturday and was able to try his first cupcake at the house. Happy First Birthday Tre!!!

Greg taught Avery how to hold worms. Thanks Greg! She has been practicing any chance she gets!
