Christmas 2011

It was a Merry Christmas for sure! Christmas morning was magical as the kids ran down the stairs eager to see if Santa had stopped at our house to deliver them special gifts. And he did! They ran into the living room and didn't even know where to begin or what to do! In fact, they couldn't even believe the stockings were stuffed! They had lots of fun going through everything and exploring their new toys! We played until it was time to head up to Ammy and Bampa's! There we were spoiled with gifts and good food. One special little girl even got a special delivery to their front door! Santa rang the doorbell and left Avery her very own American girl doll. The boys loved zooming around on their new four wheelers and everyone had a smile on their face. I surely won't forget Uncle Kyle's cool new remote control helicopter. It was stuck in the gutter briefly after it veered off course a bit but was quickly recovered with the big ladder and some teamwork. By the time afternoon rolled around we were all completely exhausted and full of happiness. I hope you and yours had a Merry Christmas as well! We are now excited to head to Arizona to celebrate Christmas Part II with the Atkinson's! Yippee!

Christmas Eve

Another great time with family and good food at our house. Trevor prepared the beef tenderloin and everyone brought a little something yummy. We had plenty of cheer, laughs, and fun! Things were even wilder this year with four little ones running around! I can hardly wait for Baby Ryann to join us next year!

The kids did a few singing performances, they danced, and they played and played and played! The adults enjoyed a fun gift swap and by the end of the evening we were all ready for a sweet slumber in anticipation of Santa's arrival. Before everyone departed, we spread the reindeer food on the lawn so they could have a little snack and left Santa his favorite chocolate milk and cookies!

Christmas Break Happenings

It has been a busy fun week without school. I can't even begin to tell you where the time has gone, but it has gone fast. We spent some time with the cousins. Avery had a sleepover at Ammy and Bampa's where she helped take care of Scottie and Truss. We had a few neighborhood parties to celebrate the holidays and we have baked lots of cookies. We are looking forward to a few days full of pajamas and laughs and hoping the hustle and bustle will fade so that we can enjoy these babes and Christmas!

Magical Nights of Lights

Wednesday after school the kids and I ate lunch in the car and drove to Ammy and Bampa's for an exciting day! We snuck in naps, then went on to an early dinner where we met up with Auntie Tally, Uncle Jake, Truss, Scottie, Auntie Tricia, and Uncle Kyle. From there, we caravaned up to The Magical Nights of Lights. We all piled in the Sanders minivan and enjoyed the beautiful lights. We took a short break at Santa's Village to have a little fun. We rode horses, rides, and roasted smore's. A fun night for all! I managed to get the kids in bed by ten and have Avery back up and ready for school bright and early this morning. We did it and happily, this holiday hustle and bustle is full of fun for sure! Thanks Mom and Dad for a great evening!

Terriffic Traditions with Friends

For the fourth year in a row we have gone to Lenox Mall with some of our favorite friends. We ride the Pink Pig, visit Santa, and eat lunch at Chickfila! I get so excited to see the kids adorable outfits, see who likes Santa and who cries, and then I love seeing them laugh and talk over lunch. It is such a sweet and special day. I absolutely treasure these special moments and hope the babes will look back fondly on these fun times!

Girls, Grinch, and Georgia Grille!

I could not have anticipated how wonderfully the night would flow! We met at a resturant near the Fox and walked to the theater. From there we found our amazing seats and wathched the magical show. It was amazing...it even snowed in the Fox! I even shed a few tears. I have to admit that being there with my Mama, My daughter, and My sisters, made me emotional enough. Add to that the sweet story of the Grinch and I was toast! We had a great evening and ended it all at my favorite Atlanta spot the Georgia Grille! Way too much fun!! Thanks Mom for a wonderful evening!

*PS-Avery thought we were in New York and I wasn't able to change her mind! Finally, I imagined us there too and it made the magical night even better!
