Staying cool!

The temperature outside has been so hot we have been trying to stay cool and have fun. Well, that brought us to the mall to ride the carosel, eat lunch, and hit the Disney store with our cousins and Ammy. That was last week.

This week we packed up and went North again. Only this time it was for a sleepover and playdate with the Sanders. Everyone had a blast! Thanks Ammy and Bamp for some cool fun and a yummy dinner!

One big party!

This summer feels like one big party!

On Wednesday we met some friends in Marietta for a little Ice Cream Party. You know we are obsessed with groupons and this one was worth it. We were able to pick our flavors, toppings, and create delicious ice cream concoctions with some of our favorite friends. Yum, even the Mommies and Mimi's got some!

Tea Anyone?

It was our turn to host play group last week and all Avery has been talking about is Tea Parties. She had her first real Tea Party out in Arizona with Grammy and Grampa Atkinson and had her first friends party on Tuesday.

We set the tables, pink of course, with flowers and everything. Got out little finger foods and invited our friends in their "fancy clothes." I made punch with Ginger Ale and Sorbet! It was a fun time for sure!

*I don't say it often enough but, we sure are lucky to live in such a wonderful neighborhood full of such wonderful friends!

First Trip to the Dentist

I obviously had more anxiety over this outing than my daughter did! She had so much fun she asked if she could stay! And... she is telling me that when she grows up she wants to be a dentist. I am not sure if it could have gone any better!

Dr. Lee and her staff were unbelievable! They spent so much time showing Avery the facility and making sure she felt comfortable. Even Dylan wanted to get into the dentist chair. Avery got her teeth cleaned, fluoride treatment, and X-rays. When we started they told me we would just see how it went. She did great! Dr. Lee even checked out Dylan's teeth. He screamed a little but she said his mouth looked great despite the fact that it is nearly impossible to brush his teeth and he drinks milk before bed! Gotta change those bad habits! Anyhoo, hats off to Dr. Lee and Avery for such a great morning!

Sweet Treats and Farm Fun

Grammy took us all over! We spent a morning at the "omlette malls" (Avery's version of outlet malls). After doing some serious shopping we stopped for a famous Whoopie Pie snack. Yum! We only wish Aunt Lyn-Ann was with us since those are her absolute favorite!

We also made it to the farm to see all the animals! This was a huge hit, and so were the really neat wooden play vehicles! We had lunch and ice cream at the farm.

The rest of the pictures are other fun stops we took during the vacation.

Lake Sebago

Rex was kind enough to take us out on his gorgeous boat again this year. We got a great tour of the lake and even though it was too chilly for me, Avery, Trevor, and Uncle Scott cooled off with a little dip! Thank you Rex, it is always fun!

We also had a delicious dinner compliments of Uncle Richard, and Grammy for her cooking! She even used the leftover lobster to make lobster rolls for our lunch on the boat. Thanks Grammy!

Friendship, ME

One of my favorite places on Earth!

Of course, we had a lovely visit with Aunt Patty and Uncle Richard. The babes loved Aunt Patty's famous shrimp dip and lunch! She also took us on a tour of her garden. We all loved picking and eating the delicious strawberries. You bet we made it out to the wharf to see the lobsters, crabs, buoys, and stuff. Uncle Richard came in early from hauling so we were able to catch up on all of his latest jokes. As always, it was a perfect day. Thank you Aunt Patty and Uncle Richard!

Later in the week we made it over to their daughter Lori's beautiful house for dinner. We loved meeting her son Cole. The kids enjoyed playing together and I had to include a few pictures.

Friends Day!

Every year we have a super fun gathering with Trevor's High School friends. It is great to catch up and see how all of the kids have grown over the last year. Gretchen is kind enough to host and of course we all enjoyed ourselves!
