Giving Thanks

As 2009 draws to an end and the holidays are upon us, what better time than now to count my blessings!

FAMILY
I am so fortunate to have bumped into Trevor 7 years ago (he actually bumped into me,literally). He is a better husband and daddy than I could have ever imagined. I am grateful for his involvement in our children's daily life. He helps with most everything-they love it and I appreciate it! He also works very hard so that I can stay home and be with them everyday. Thank you Trevor! Love you!

Our children! Two of the cutest little buggers! I love them with all of my heart and try to make the most of each day we get to spend at home together. They bring us so much joy!

Mom and Dad and have set such wonderful examples and are always there for us! I am grateful for all you have done and continue to do for us, thank you! Your priceless advice, listening ears, and lending hands! I love you tons. My sisters, three of the most fabulous and totally different gals in the world. I love each one of you and look forward to the future as our families grow.

Tina and Bruce, I did marry into the best family in the world! How did I get so lucky. Thanks for all you do for the Atkinson family! Your two weeks here after Dylan was born was unbelievable! THANK YOU for making our adjustment from one child to two easier! I love you both and we miss you today! Scott and Lyn-Ann I wish we lived closer. Although after your visit this weekend you may be glad we live miles apart. I love spending time with you and can't wait until our February trip!

Our extended family and friends, you make life sweeter and we are so lucky to have you in our lives. Thanks for your love and friendship!

HEALTH

FAITH

Ammy, Mani/Pedi

This morning we packed up and headed to Ammy's. The babes got to play with Ammy all morning while I snuck off to get my nails done. I picked an orangey red to be festive for Thanksgiving and the nail tech veered me into 2009 with a dark purple color. I had no idea that was the "in" thing. So now I am cool with short purplish nails. Hmmm! I guess two kids will make you lose touch with fashion. I guess I have some catching up to do! Thanks Mom for watching the babes I know they both had fun with you! We are looking forward to seeing a lot of you and Bamp over the next
month!

She is coming around!

Avery asked to hold her brother numerous times this weekend! She also wanted to help feed him a bottle!

We had birthday parties and turkey fry's this weekend! Lots of fun to enjoy with friends. Avery just loved her Ariel face painting! It looked a little more like airbrushing though!

Turkey Projects

This afternoon was spent making turkey cookies with Avery's best friend Handley. The girls enjoyed decorating the sugar cookies. If only I could stop Avery from eating the frosting and candies before the cookie was complete. She is just like her mom! We love the sugar!

At school Avery made Trevor and I the sweetest Thanksgiving card. It has a sweet poem inside of it and we will definitely be putting it in the memory box.

Lastly, Avery and I have been working on our Thankful Turkey. She thought of some things to be thankful for (Mommy and Daddy, Santa Clause, green leafs) and I added two (family and health). We have it in the kitchen and it turned out pretty cute!

Our Baby is 4 Weeks!

Yesterday was Dylan's four week birthday! Today we had his one month doctors appointment. He weighed in at 8 lbs 12 oz. He was two inches longer and is doing well. I can't believe how fast time is flying. We sure are blessed to have such a good boy!

Avery asked for two ponies with braids today. She looked pretty cute for school with her new hairstyle. I guess I need to get some more bows or maybe even some ribbons!

Avery had her second round of flu mist today at the drs and the H1N1 vaccine. It was not so much fun for her. However, we stopped at Chick Fila for a peppermint milkshake and she didn't stop drinking it until it was gone. So...I think she is feeling a bit better.

Lastly, a new reindeer headband.

Flying Solo

Today Avery had a blast at the Playgroup Thanksgiving Party. Thankfully Carrie Beth, Handley, and Harper took her to the celebration while Dylan and I had some alone time. They made foam turkey's, colored, ate snacks, and played with their friends outside. She was so happy when she came home. It made her day to get out and have some fun with her friends. Thank you for letting Avery tag along Carrie Beth! She loved it!

Playdate at Ammy and Bamps

Today the kiddos and I made our first trip up to Alpharetta. They were both great. I was nervous about the drive and not being able to reach Dylan. He was on his best behavior though. Tally and Truss came over too. As you can see the cousins were dressed alike. We didn't even plan it!

We had a great visit! Avery's day was made, Bampa came home from work to play with her! I think we will be making these trips more often. It was a wonderful Wednesday!

Next time, Avery promises to take a picture too!
