Auntie Tessa comes to Atlanta and Truss has a party!

It was so good to see Auntie Tess after 5 1/2 long months! She saved Trevor and I on Friday afternoon by allowing us to sneak out and watch the Iron Bowl. Avery and Dylan LOVED getting tons of her undivided attention. We only wish she was here longer! We can't wait until the Christmas holidays to play with her again.

Truss and his parents have moved home! They are all settled and getting ready for Scottie's arrival in about two months. We had a first birthday party for the BIG GUY on Saturday. It was a blast! Thanks Tally and Jake for a wonderful party! And... Happy 1st Birthday Truss! We love you!

Turkey Day in Port Orange

For the holiday, we traveled to Florida to spend some time with Grammy and Grampa. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! The weather was gorgeous and as always we had so much fun with the Atkinson's! We took a trip to the beach, swam in the pool, and did lots of playing. Dylan was getting over a cold and a little bit fussy. This caused us to eat in a bit more than usual. However, Grammy and Grampa watched the kiddos and allowed us to have two date nights!! We hated not being with everyone, but Trevor and I did enjoy eating our dinner slowly and some alone time together. Avery said the sweetest blessing, and Grammy cooked a great feast! We have a lot to be thankful for! Thank you Grammy Tina and Grampa Bruce!

PS~We missed Uncle Scott, Aunt Lyn-Ann, and the Trussell Family and are thankful for all of you too!

Painting

It has been a while since we just did whatever we wanted. Today was that kind of day! We all were in good spirits and enjoyed everything. We painted, Dylan's first attempt. I think he liked it, and learned paint doesn't taste good. Avery shocked me, the girl can really paint. She loved it, and I was reminded that we need to do more crafts and artsy kind of things. Next, did a little Christmas shopping and stopped in Pet Smart for a viewing of the animals. Gosh, they love that place. We could literally sit in front of the doggy day care window for a couple hours. We ate a nice lunch with Dad and took good naps. Upon waking we baked some brownies and then headed to the playground. It was so beautiful outside that tons of friends were out playing. I guess it's the simple things. What a great day! Again I am reminded of how lucky I am!

As soon as I washed the big boys hands he was off. Off to cause trouble...on the treadmill. He climbs on stomps his feet and screams just so I know he is doing something he shouldn't be. Then, as I approach he says "no,no."

And then, he looks at me like this!!! (Look at those teeth)

My Monkey's

Lately, I feel as if I am living in the zoo. These two are keeping me on my toes! Dylan is a climber and is always up to something, very quietly I might add so I have to pay close attention. In the past week he has stood on the little play table, climbed chairs, and even got stuck in the bar stools. I have even resorted to making the gymnastics mats home at the bottom of the stairs just in case. Dylan thinks climbing the stairs and pretend running on the treadmill is a really funny game. Now don't get me wrong they are tons and tons of fun! I love my Monkeys!

He insists on using a spoon and feeding himself. A little messy :)

Cousins playing, boy have they been missing eachother!

Field Trip

The Posener Ladies, Avery, Dylan, and I took advantage of this gorgeous November day and went to the Art Barn. We all loaded into "Big Red" and trekked up to the cute little farm for a wonderful afternoon!

It was AWESOME! We went on a hayride, painted, picnicked, and learned about all of the farm animals. They got to hold a chicken and a duck. Pet bunnies, donkeys, ponies, pigs, goats, sheep, and I am sure I have forgotten a few. We even fed our leftover lunch to the piggiest potbellied pigs you have ever seen. If you get the chance I highly recommend this neat place. Thanks CB for the great idea!

Love you Nana!

The last few weeks have been difficult for our family as we lost Virginia Burns Atkinson. Trevor's Mom, my Mother-in-law, and our children's Nana. She was way too young, but we are comforted knowing she is in a much better place. I like to think she will be watching over us, and get lots of laughs when she peeks in on the circus that takes place at our house daily. We will remember and love you always!
