Soccer practice!

Another new adventure...soccer. Avery and Leighton are on the Cyclones U-3 soccer team. This involves practice once a week and games on the weekend. She was so excited to finally go to practice. As you will see in the pictures we don't have cleats yet. This is because the princess wants pink ones like her best friend. I am off to find them!

By the way, Trevor has always said he isn't going to coach the kids teams. On the way to practice he said he and Dylan were going to keep busy. I knew he couldn't stay away though. Immediately he was in the middle of things telling Avery little strategies and helping from the sidelines. Dylan didn't mind either!

Pizza Party

Boys golf outing and a pizza party at the house with the families afterward. It ended up being a cloudy day perfect for a playing in the backyard. We all played soccer, road bikes, splashed in the water table, and enjoyed playhouse. Everyone worked up appetites and wore ourselves out before bed. We sure do enjoy hanging out with great friends! I just love being able to get the kids together too!

A LOOT of goodies!

Friday after I dropped off Avery, my friend Jeanna and I hopped in the car and headed to a clothing close-out sale. I have never shopped like this before but it was fun! We fed Dylan in the car and were the first to arrive and let in the doors. When we got to the racks I started perusing the boys clothes. Big mistake, evidently the girls clothes are the hot commodity! We were able to snag lots of cute stuff. It was tough to narrow the loot down. I won't even tell you the deals we got because you might faint. Let's just say when I was deciding upon a few shirts Jeanna said, "you couldn't even buy a plain shirt a Target that cheap." It was a great way to start the weekend. And...the kids are going to look great next spring! Avery is overjoyed about having so many PINK dresses! Thanks Jeanna, I had a blast!

Dylan's First Haircut

At 9 1/2 months old Dylan received his first haircut compliments of Aunt Tricia in the salon. He was a good boy and enjoyed his first lollipop too! Great job Aunt Tricia, we will be back soon!

I really wasn't as scared as this photo looks, it went really well! Just a bad pic of me!

DYLAN

The 9 month old Doctors Visit Stats:
weight : 20 lbs 9 oz
height: 28 in

I can hardly believe my boy is getting so big! Today he was ten months old and he has changed so much! He used to sleep all the time. Now, he is awake nearly all the time. He is also extememly active. Avery was always on the go, but Dylan he is a climber, a mover, and goer. He continues to like food but doesn't love it! He is just the cutest sweetest thing! He is also still my sweet little cuddler. Love ya big boy!

working hard at walking, it won't be long now!

Sleepover...NOT

Friday night Avery was scheduled to have her first ever slumber party with her best friend Handley. She was beyond excited. In fact, she waited outside with her luggage for the Posener's to arrive. They came in style, in the golf cart to be exact!

They played, they ate, they enjoyed the evening. I would have bet 1,000 dollars that Avery would gladly stay the night. But then... around 9:30 the phone rang. Apparently, she missed her mom and her dog. I don't know if I buy that because sometimes I think she loves Carrie Beth more than me :) She is more aware of things at night and I totally understand her wanting to come home but I was shocked. We can't wait to try it again! I just hope we didn't upset Handley too much because the girls were so excited. I guess I just thought she was a little more grown up than she is after all, the girl is only 3!

A huge thank you to Carrie Beth for having our little munchkin for the evening. She did have so much fun!

We had some quality alone time with Dylan which was so wonderful!!! Safe to say he liked it too!

From Ballet to Preschool

Our little ballerina! She sure has learned a lot in this summer session! Avery LOVES to dance! Next, we are going to try soccer. Wish us luck!

After our ballet class we headed over to school to meet Avery's new teachers. Boy, I don't know who is more excited Avery or me. Ms. Debbie and Ms. Susan are quite the team. They compliment each other very well, and their love for children is very obvious. The classroom is adorable and completely child centered. I can just see Avery learning and growing in there this year. I can't wait to hear all about her days, as it looks like they have some wonderful things planned. I have to tell you...after meeting the teachers and being in there classroom for one hour it gave me the itch to get back in the classroom and teach. I taught first grade for seven years and this is my third year out. I love being a Mom!!! However, I look forward to going back to the classroom one day and just hope I can make my students feel as comfortable as Avery felt today. Thanks Ms. Susan and Ms. Debbie! We all look forward to getting to know you!

The ballet waiting room...
Dylan just adores Harper. She shares everything with him even her yummy snacks. It's safe to say he will be following her around for a long time! She is gorgeous!
