Thanksgiving 2008

The end of November and the month of December are busy for our family as well as many of you. We were able to take some time over the holiday, slow down, and take note of the things we are thankful for. Our health (especially after the nasty bug), our family, and the little things we do everyday that makes life special. Trevor and I continue to be thankful for our little girl too! She sure has changed our lives and continues to surprise us everyday!

Due to the illness Trevor and Avery caught we missed Thanksgiving at my parents house. They were kind enough to reschedule a dinner with a Mexican theme. Avery and I went to Alpharetta on Friday and stayed until Sunday. Trevor went to Maine to visit his Mother and brother. We had a great time shopping, cooking, eating, and playing. Tally, Jake, Kyle, and Tricia also were able to join us for our feast. It was a great weekend except for the fact that my Mom caught the icky bug, and was so sick that they had to cancel their trip to visit Grampa in Florida.

Avery also got an early Christmas gift from Grama and Grampa Trussell. It is my favorite thing...a safe stool for the kitchen. It allows her to be at counter height and able to participate in all sorts of fun kitchen activities. It is also portable so I can take it back and forth to Alpharetta. As you can see from the pictures, she loves it! We are looking forward to making Christmas cookies this weekend!

On to the Atkinson Thanksgiving...We left Atlanta on Tuesday and stayed until Sunday. It was a great trip! The 45 minute flight was so easy! Avery was great and she liked the airplane. Grammy and Grampa were all ready for us, and as always spoiled us rotten. We hit the flea market, our favorite dinner spots, and had a lovely turkey dinner. The usual crowd attended. Except for Uncle Scott (he is actually coming to Atlanta this weekend). We had over 20 close friends and family gathered round a big, long table. I didn't do a good job of taking pictures but it was a great sight. Avery's favorite thing to do was go for a ride in the golf cart with "Na" (her nickname for Grammy, she heard Grampa saying Tina and liked the sound of it!) they would go look at all the Christmas lights and Avery would cheer "ho, ho,ho!" Below are a few pictures from Florida and I wish I had more.

This is a picture of Avery trying on our winter accesories. We had a lot of fun getting the box out and playing dress up!

I thought Avery looked so cute today I wanted to post a few more pictures!
