Making a Dream a Reality!

Ever since I can remember my Mom and Dad have talked about living on the lake one day. They both grew up by lakes and have fond memories of fishing, swimming, and boating in the clean lake water. For the last year they have talked of finding some lake property and one day building on it. They have spent many weekends over the past few months exploring the lakes in and around Georgia. They have enjoyed the trips but never actually "fell in love" with what they found. That all changed two weeks ago when they took a drive northwest of Alpharetta. They stumbled across Lake Arrowhead and discovered the best of both worlds. At Lake Arrowhead they found a beautiful clean lake in gorgeous developing community with all the amenities they need. They may be thinking forward to retirement but we all know those two won't be slowed down. They need stuff to do! So, they will have tennis, swimming, golf, boating, and dining right on site. They also found a beautiful lot that sits up high to build there dream house. The views are of the foothills, lake, and trees. But, you are able to walk right down to the water. By Christmas they hope to have a dock built and who knows when they will break ground on the house. I believe the original plan was to wait a few year, no hurry. However, it is all very exciting! I can only imagine all the fun the Trussell Family will have at the new digs! Many fond memories for all of us will hopefully be made at this beautiful new location.

Sunday, Mom and Dad took Tally, Avery and I up to visit. Below are a few pictures. It was a pretty ride and we all loved the property. We also went to brunch at the club. It was a great day! I forgot to mention my favorite part... it is only an hour drive for each one of us to get there! So, we can go often and stay until they kick us out! Tess, this may solidify your decision to move back home next year!

Great job Mom and Dad! We think you picked a WINNER!

Also a couple shots from Scottsdale Nursery. We went after our road trip yesterday. Avery had been talking all week about getting a green pumpkin. After we arrived she just wanted to play with Bampa. Oh well! We will head to the pumpkin patch next weekend.
