This is why we are grateful to have two children. The bigger they get the sweeter the little moments are between them. Don't get me wrong the pushing and pulling is begining but the playing and loving have to. It is so touching to see! Love you two!

Superfun Superbowl Sunday!
Thanks to the Parro's for an excellent Superbowl party! Homemade chicken tenders for the kids with all the sides and deserts! Appetizers, ribs, chili, and more for the adults. The courses just kept on coming throughout the night! It was a blast. Not sure who had more fun all the little kiddos or the adults. Thanks for all of your hardwork for such an outstanding party! Greg and Melissa you are great hosts and unbelievable cooks, muchas gracias!

Let the good times roll!
Saturday evening we met my parents at the mall for the hand off. Avery has been asking to go visit Ammy and Bampa daily for two weeks. Finally, this weekend was the big party! My parents have been so busy (taking care of Truss for three nights since Scottie was born). I know how exhausting it is, and they played with him the whole time. For this reason, I felt a little guilty not even giving them a night to recover. They insisted. And Avery was over the moon. Trevor and I thought Dylan should get in on a little of the fun. So we all joined the party for Chickfila and the carousel ride. Then we went our different ways, and Avery's spend the night party was on! I wish I sent the camera because I am sure there are many more stories to tell. She is still basking in her one on one time! Lucky girl, and lucky us to have such involved and active grandparents! Thanks Mom, Dad, Tina, and Bruce...you guys are the best!
Scottie's Shower
Two Sundays ago we had Tally and Scottie's baby shower. We had to quickly change the date so that we could celebrate her before she was born. Thank goodness we did! Avery and I made the special occasion a girls night. We left early and had a drink at the bar. (Mom water, and Avery a kiddy cocktail loaded with cherries) Then we celebrated with our family and friends over dinner and desserts at Ippolito's. It was a fun night! I LOVED getting some one on one time with my girl. Can't wait to double date with Tally and Scottie!

"Mommy and Daddy are in LOVE"
Avery screamed this tonight after Trevor got home and we did the welcome home kiss. The kiss was nothing spectacular, although I was very glad to see my husband since the only break I got today was the 10:30-11:15 nap Dylan took. He is only taking one nap, early and short! I decided to keep the kids busy all day in hopes of early bedtime, an adult dinner and alone time. Still keeping my fingers crossed that it works out! However, that LOVE comment did make my heart skip a beat and feel a little gitty! It feels good to think our 3year old knows that her parents love eachother. It is something that I would like her to never doubt even though this parenting job causes us to have an occasional tift. I might add that her idea of love is the fairytale thing, a kiss, a prince, and happily ever after. Even with that, her words tonight were so sweet.
Enough about that, today was donuts for Dad at school. Avery was THRILLED! She ate two donuts. According to her one was cream filled the other pink with sprinkles. She then gave Daddy the best gift... a coffee mug with her picture on it, what they like to do "build forts" and filled with coffee. The major meltdown today was when she realized it was me in the carpool lane and not Daddy! That was when the teacher suggested an afternoon nap, we passed! Please go to bed now Avery (Trevor is reading to her as I type).
Two cute besties!
One last Avery comment to leave you with...
before bed, I asked Avery what she wanted for breakfast, her answer:
"Mom, I don't want to hurt your feelings but I don't like your eggs. Just Ammy's so I will have eggs when I spend the night at her house. How about cereal?"
She still loves make-up by the way!

A visit with Uncle Scott
This past weekend we were able to spend lots of time with Uncle Scott. He left a chilly Detroit behind and was able to enjoy some unusual spring time weather in Atlanta. It was nearly 70 and sunny. We were able to get to the zoo, the park, out to dinner, and playtime at the house. Uncle Scott is very generous in helping us get tasks completed that we otherwise would never be able to. For example, this weekend I retired my 1980's Walkman. You know I was that girl running with the thing clipped to my belt. Every so often it would fall off and hit the street or treadmill. Then, triple A batteries would be everywhere. I would frantically search the ground for them and get them back in the Walkman in order to finish my run. Well, thanks to modern technology and Uncle Scott I have a new MP3 with am/fm radio. I didn't upgrade sooner because I like to listen to the local radio (call me old fashioned) but now I have the best of both worlds. Thank you Scott! He also babysat Dylan for me! What a guy!!!! Thanks a million! As always, wish I would have taken more pictures not even one with Uncle Scott. He was the photographer :)

Scottie Grace
6 pounds 7 ouncess and 20 inches long!
Surprise! Two weeks early my precious niece decided to make her debut. When I woke up this morning and found out she arrived around 4:30am I was in shock! Then I was beside myself trying to figure out the logistics to meet her. I kept Avery home from school, then took her late :) Trevor was traveling and I was too excited. We ended up having a somewhat normal day. Trevor arrived home early and immediately we were headed to Northside. We all were able to go see Aunt Tally, Uncle Jake, and our new beautiful baby. She is just perfect and gorgeous! Tally looked amazing as always and both her and Jake were beaming! I tear up just thinking about how beautiful and precious she is. I am now trying to think of a way to see her tomorrow.

Beautiful Mama!
Of course, we had to sing Happy Birthday Scottie at dinner tonight :)
Congratulations to the new Mommy and Daddy of two and Big Brother Truss!
